The city of Luzhou is situatet in the chinese province Sichuan. The charakter of the city is strongly influenced by its position at the confluence of Jangtsekiang and Tuo Jiang. We were asked to design a parc at the riverbanks which will soon form the centre of the fast growing city.

Two elements form the basic layout of the park: the gallery pathway and the scenes. From the gallery pathway the visitor can experience the nature and special topography of the site. It also links the different attractions of the park. At the major links to the city, the Scenes form the main entrances. They differ in topography, program and atmospheres and some of them develop an urban charakter.

Sequences of different spaces for moving, resting and all kinds of action are characteristic for the park design.
